The Rehabilitation Day Hospital (RDH) at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital is an outpatient program designed for adults requiring ongoing rehabilitation, community re-integration and functional independence enhancement.
Using a team approach, our patients are encouraged to be active participants in their treatment programs. The program goals are to restore, enhance and support the patient’s maximum level of independence with individual and/or group intervention.
Our goal is to provide client/family centered care, compassion, equality, integrity and professionalism to individuals requiring further rehabilitative services due to the following:
· Mobility and physician function
· Stroke or other neurological diagnosis
· Post hospital discharge follow up
· Self-care / activities of daily living
· Communication and swallowing problems
· Memory and cognition
All RDH services are covered by OHIP; however transportation and associated costs are the responsibility of the patient / family.
