Registered Dietitians are involved in various departments throughout the hospital and provide nutritional assessment and education to help patients reach and maintain optimal well-being and provide treatment of acute and chronic diseases. 

 

As health professionals, they are involved with many clinical programs such as:

  • Eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia)
  • Geriatric Day Hospital and Rehabilitation
  • Heart health
  • Infant and child nutrition
  • Intensive Care
  • Kidney disease
  • Medicine and Complex Continuing Care
  • Mental Health
  • Oncology (Cancer)
  • Pregnancy
  • Surgery

Registered Dietitians are uniquely trained to advise you on food, diet and nutrition. All Dietitians have a Bachelor’s degree specializing in food and nutrition, and have completed an accredited internship and/or a graduate degree.
