OSMH launches new Strategic Plan

Thursday, November 17, 2016

(Wednesday, November 16, 2016  – Orillia, ON) –  With a Vision of Excellent Compassionate Care…Every Day, OSMH (Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital) launched its new Strategic Plan today with a ceremony in the main lobby of the hospital.

Supported by Values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Engagement, the Plan was endorsed by the OSMH Board of Directors earlier this year following extensive consultation with internal and external stakeholders.

“Our strategic plan is an important guidance document,” said Pat Campbell, OSMH President and CEO.   “It helps everyone understand where we are headed as an organization and how we are going to get there.”

Your trusted partner in great care, is the Mission Statement of the Plan which also includes four strategic themes; Transformed Patient Experience, Inspired People and Teams, To be Proactive in Shaping Health System Change, and Technology, Information and Innovation

“As Board members, we will turn to the Strategic Plan frequently to ensure the decisions we make align with the mission, vision, values and strategic themes that we have all endorsed,” said Vice-Chair Al Scott.

As with the previous OSMH Strategic Plan, Scott indicated the new Plan does not have a prescribed end date, but will remain in place as long as it is pertinent and applicable to the work of the hospital.
